E1: 41: Cycle Count Update (R41413) Returns the Error Account 9XX.5XXX.001 in AAI Table 4154 invalid. (Doc ID 2940327.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to perform a Cycle Count the job fails and the following error appears in the JDEDEBUG log:

Account 9XXXX.5XXX.001 in AAI Table 4154 invalid.

CAUSE : The Account Number 9XXXX.5XXX.001 referenced by Distribution AAI Number 4154 is invalid. Either this account does not exist or has a posting edit code that does not allow manual journal entries.
RESOLUTION : Check the Account Number to verify that it exists and has a valid posting edit code for data entry. Change the Distribution AAI to reference a valid account or add the missing account in the General Ledger system.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Run Select Items for Cycle Count (R41411).
    1. Three inventory locations are retrieved.
    2. Item Locations are visited but items are found and counted in one location.
  2. Count is entered with Cycle Count Entry (P4141) for the one location counted.
  3. Cycle Count is approved and Status Updated to 40.
  4. Cycle Count Update (R41413) is run with logging on but the job ends in error.
  5. The logs are retrieved and reviewed:
    1. Logs shows Account in AAI Table 4154 invalid.
