E1: PRINT: Unable to Print UBE Jobs to Default Printers from Submitted Reports Application (WSJ) - P986110B as Printer Selection Screen Shows Blank Printer Name and 0 Number of Copies Leading to Error 'Invalid Values" in Multi Server Environment
(Doc ID 2943425.1)
Last updated on MAY 29, 2023
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
In a JDE EnterpriseOne setup with multiple servers, users are not able print ube jobs from WSJ (Submitted Reports - Submitted Job Search - P986110B) application if the jobs were submitted to a specific server. UBEs submitted on other servers are printing successfully.
When clicking on the print icon in row or taking the print exit button, the printer selection screen appears with blank printer name and Zero(0) number of copies and shows error
Invalid Values
Cause: Invalid values have been entered.
Resolution: Please enter a number between 1-9999
The correct and expected behavior is that the printer selection screen should fetch the details of the printer which was used during the UBE submission.
If the user clicks on change printer and selects any valid printer and changes the number of copies to valid value, the printing is successful.
This issue may be replicated using below steps:
- Login to Web Client.
- Enter BV in fast path to open work with batch versions applications.
- Find R0006P (any UBE) and submit on the identified Server (Override Location advanced option may be used while submitting to force the UBE to goto a specific identified server).
- On the printer selection screen, choose a valid printer and note the details.
- Once the job is complete, type WSJ in fast path to open Submitted Reports - Submitted Job Search - P986110B application.
- Take advanced form exit and choose the server map of the server where the job was submitted in step 4.
- Click the print icon in row or take the row exit and click Print.
- Notice the printer details are not fetched and error Invalid Values appears on Printer Selection screen.
- Repeat the test on a different server and this error is not observed.
