E1: 41: Copying an Item Master (P4101) Record That Contains More Than One Media Object Attachment Only Copies the First Media Object Attachment to the Newly Created Item Master Record (Doc ID 2944173.1)

Last updated on APRIL 25, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Item number AAA has 10 text/enhanced media object files that were added to the Item Master (P4101). When item AAA is copied to a new item number using P4101, only the first media object/text file is copied. Not all 10 files as expected. Additionally, we have also found that when copying this item number, completely different text/media objects are copied that do not belong to item AAA.

This worked in tools release 9.2.4.1 however, since upgrading to 9.2.7.1, this no longer works.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Add more than one media object to an existing item in the Item Master (P4101). Customer has 10 media object files.
2. Inquire on the item number to be copied (P4101) and select the 'copy' function. Ex: Item AAA.
3. Create a new Item Master record for item BBB. No need to add the Item/Branch record.
4. Inquire on item BBB and select Row/Internal Attachment.
5. Notice that only one media object file was copied.
