E1: 07: R078500 The Value For Social Security Is Doubled When There Is A 3rd Party Sick
(Doc ID 2945786.1)
Last updated on MAY 01, 2023
Applies to:JD Edwards EnterpriseOne US Payroll - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
The Social Security Tax (PTAX = E) on the 941 report is off by the amount of the 3rd party adjustment (where field THTY = 1 F06166).
The third-party adjustment is not in the F06166 but is in the F06136. The Medicare (PTAX= P) is correct since it gets the 3rd party data from the correct location F06136. Again, it's not in the F06166 which is why Medicare is correct and the Social Security is incorrect(missing the 3rd party adjustment and doubling the amount).
Steps to Reproduce:
1. From P07210 run payroll for an employee with 3rd party sick adjustments.
2. From BV run R078500 for the corresponding quarter.
3. Review the 941 report, and notice the Social Security Tax value is off by the amount of the 3rd party adjustment.
