E1: INST: Impact of Removing Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributables From Servers (Doc ID 2945929.1)

Last updated on MAY 23, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package installs runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries required to run applications developed with Visual C++ on a computer that does not have Visual C++ 2010 installed. The Host is running Microsoft VC++ 2010 Redistributable which is not supported by Microsoft anymore, as it ended by Jul 14, 2020.

We would like to uninstall the Microsoft VC++ 2010 Redistributable on JDE Enterprise Server, Web Server (WebSphere), Deployment Server and SQL Database Server. Would there be any impact the JDE system if the Microsoft VC++ 2010 Redistributables are removed?
