Symptoms

After upgraded the tools release to 9.2.5.5, the R4981 (Freight Update) process does not update Shipment Weight (WGTS) and Scheduled Volume (SCVL) fields in F4981 (Freight Audit History) table when this process is running for a load.

Steps to replicate

Test 1:

  1. Enter two transportation sales orders (P4210). Different shipment numbers were created.
  2. For each shipment select the same route and approve the shipments.
  3. Create a Load (P4960) for both shipment numbers.
  4. Approve and confirm the load.
  5. Set processing options R4981 (Freight Update), tab Updates, 2. Update Mode = Blank = Both payable and billable freight update.
  6. Run R4281 for the load.
  7. Check F4981 table and note that the fields “Shipment Weight” and “Scheduled Volume” are not updated for the first record created in this table.

Test 2:

  1. Enter a transportation sales order (P4210). Shipment number was created.
  2. For shipment select a route and approve.
  3. Create a Load (P4960) for shipment number.
  4. Approve and confirm the load.
  5. Set processing options R4981 (Freight Update), tab Updates, 2. Update Mode = 1 = Payable freight only.
  6. Run R4281 for the load.
  7. Check F4981 table and notice that the fields “Shipment Weight” and “Scheduled Volume” are not updated .

 

The R4981 (Freight Update) process has to update “Shipment Weight” and “Scheduled Volume” fields in F4981.
