E1: INST: DB: SQL Server Database Component Installation Fails to Attach the MDF Data Files (Doc ID 2948857.1)

Symptoms

During the installation of the SQL Server component from JD Edwards EnterpriseOne platform pack, the SQL Server MDF files, delivered with the platform pack, are not attached to the SQL database instance.

The following error is recorded into the Oracle Universal Installer install actions log file:

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Launch the Platform Pack installer and select the PD920 database component or any other database component
2. Fill in all the required data
3. Launch the installation
