E1: 44H: P44H602 Takeoffs Allows Writing To A Different Homebuilder Area (Doc ID 2950096.1)

Last updated on MAY 18, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Homebuilder - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Work with Takeoffs (P44H602) is allowing users to add takeoff records to the incorrect Homebuilder Area.   Users have been accidentally updating takeoff records from one Area to another when making changes on the Takeoff application. The P44H602 application allows the Area to be updated within the Header of the Takeoff Maintenance Form.    Desired outcome is to have the P44H602  Area Header field locked-down so that updates can not be performed against the Area field.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. On P44H602 Takeoff Maintenance when entered by pressing the Add Button from the form W44H602A (Work with Takeoffs). This allows a user to hit find under one Area, and then update the Header Area value to a different Area. When the record is saved, it will update the values in one Area to the other Area record incorrectly.
2. Also, Form Exit >"Change Maintenance" And Row Exit>"Change Maintenance" has the Area in the Header field unlocked which allows the same undesired Area update.
