E1: 49: P4210 - Enhancement Request to Transportation Orders Routing Engine Retain the Schedule Pick Date Resolved by Preferences When Order Type and Line Is Set on UDC 49/RP and Different Than W Line type (Doc ID 2950338.1)

Last updated on JUNE 27, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Transportation Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

With preference profile setup for Delivery Date (09) and/or Order Preparation Days (16) setup where for example; order preparation days is set to 7 days, when user enters the detail line at 'ADD' the schedule pick date is calculated correctly and the preference is resolved. However, after saving the transportation order and then re-inquire it, the Schedule Pick Date is reset to match the Requested Date (ALIAS=RDQJ). It is expected to work in same way as it does when using W line type.

Steps:

  1. The UDC 49/RP needs to be setup with combination of order type and line type, other than W line type, used to create the transportation sales order
  2. P40070 - In preference master have Preferences for Delivery Date (09) set to no days (0) and Order Preparation Days (16) set to 7 days to create transportation sales order
  3. P4210 - At grid details see that Request date = 04/27/2023, schedule pick date = 04/20/2023 and Promised Ship and Promise Delivery is set to 04/27/2023 as expected because 7 days Preparation Days is playing from preference setup
  4. Save the order
  5. P4210 - Inquire back the order just created
  6. See that, now the schedule pick changed to 04/27/2023, the same as request date
  7. It is expected not to have schedule pick changed
