E1: 41: When Using Item Master (P4101) Application the Storage/Shipping (W4101D) Form Should Have the Option of Setting More SCC (Shipping Container Code) Values for an Item (Doc ID 2950515.1)

Last updated on MAY 22, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Currently, an item can have up to 8 (eight) SCC (Shipping Container Code) fields, each of them representing a different unit of measure (UOM), or packaging indicator (PI). An SCC (Shipping Container Code) identifies an “intermediate pack” of a specific product. These codes are fixed and are either pre-printed on the product or applied as a label.

To set up UPCs/SCCs information for an item, select the specific Item Master Information (P4101 Application), then go to Row exit and take Storage/Shipping option (W4101D Form), then go under the UCC 128 tab. An item can have only one UPC (Universal Product Code) number and up to 8 (eight) SCCs, which are optional (PI=1 through PI=8). The SCC(PI=0) should be used in conjunction with kits that contain components, each of which having its own UPC. One can enter an UPC for an item or an SCC(PI=0), but not both.

The request is to have available additional new SCC (Shipping Container Code) fields under the UCC 128 tab of the P4101 Storage/Shipping form, between 8 (eight) and 10 (ten) new SCC fields, for setting more SCC values for an item. If possible, an Add (+) button should be provided on the form, to allow adding as many SCC fields as needed.
