Last updated on DECEMBER 20, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9.2]
Generic Windows

Symptoms

In Orchestrator Studio an orchestrator is designed which executes a report service request with immediate download and the output is attached to a media object as next step.

The report request is designed with fire and forget off  and download immediately as ON so that the file can be attached as Media object to a record in JDE using attach step.

When running this orchestrator, the orchestrator fails to attach the media object successfully with below error exception at runtime as seen in orchestrator studio screen:

{
  "message": "ServiceRequest TEST_attach: Message: Error trying to upload media object:Invalid File Extension",
  "exception": "Exception",
  "timeStamp": "2023-09-20T11:55:35.901+0100",
  "userDefinedErrorText": "",
  "status": "ERROR",
  "jde__simpleMessage": "ServiceRequest  TEST_attach: Message: Error trying to upload media object:Invalid File Extension",
  "jde__status": "ERROR",

}

The AIS Server's debug e1root file will show below message :

 [Line -1] [pool-3-thread-20] [DEBUG ] <USER> - [KERNEL] execute LaunchUBE retrieving file, job number 128
 [Line -1] [pool-3-thread-20] [DEBUG ] <USER> - [KERNEL] LaunchUBE: >>>> ViewPDF errorBytes 00 00 00 00 i 4 user:<USER> Env:JPD920

 [Line -1] [pool-3-thread-20] [DEBUG ] <USER> - [KERNEL] complete LaunchUBE file retrieved R0006P_XJDE0001_128_PDF.pdf.pdf  <--This shows double pdf extension in filename
