E1: 46: 46L: Days Before Expiration (EXDP) not Recognized in F4600 (Warehouse Requests) for Lots when Running R46171 (Process Pick Requests) (Doc ID 2957049.1)

Last updated on JULY 12, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Warehouse Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The R46171 (Process Pick Requests) is not recognizing the Days Before Expiration (EXDP) stored in the F4600 (Warehouse Request) when selecting a lot for picking. The lot selected for picking is outside the days before expiration based on the lot expiration date minus the EXDP value stored in the F4600. This causes lots to be selected for picking when running the R46171.

STEPS
-----------------------
1. Setup a new lot controlled item in a LP enabled branch. Select the Commitment Date Method = 1 (Lot Expiration Date)
2. Setup the item in Warehousing (P46010, P46011, etc) and setup available locations for picking. Use FIFO picking for the item.
3. Adjust inventory (P4114) for the item and create two new lots that are assigned to a License Plate. Assign lot expiration dates of 10/27/2023 and 11/3/2023 for each lot.
4. Setup the Grade and Potency Preference (08) in the P40070 with 120 days in the Days to Expiration. The positive value will subtract days from the expiration date for when the lot should be sold.
5. Based on this setup, the lots should have the following dates allowed for processing:

--Lot 1 - 10/27/2023 Lot Exp Date with June 29, 2023 set as days before expiration (using 120 Days in preference)
--Lot 2 - 11/3/2023 Lot Exp date with July 6, 2023 set as days before expiration (using 120 Days in preference)

6. Define a version of the R40400 with Grade and Potency activated in the processing options and attach this version to the P4210 version used to create the sales order.
7. Add a Sales Order with a requested date outside of the sell by dates calculated for the lots (Ex: 7/12/2023) and generate a request.
8. Note in the F4600, the EXDP value is updated with the 120 days from the preference.
9. Run the R46171 to create a suggestion. The lot with the lot expiration date of 10/27/2023 is selected for the suggestion (lot 1), but the date calculated withe the lot expiration date minus the days before expiration should have been 6/29/2023. This lot should not have been selected for picking.
