E1: 30: 31: R30812 Cost Simulation Divides Routing Costs by Accounting Cost Quantity (ACQ) When Time Basis Code (TIMB) is Set to 0 (zero) "Fixed Time Basis" (Doc ID 2957147.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 29, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Product Data Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Cost Simulation R30812/R30825 calculates costs based on the Routing values divided by Accounting Cost Quantity (ACQ). When ACQ is greater than 1 this appears to understate the costs per unit.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Item Branch record (P41026) is set up with TIMB "Time Basis Code" = 0
  2. Routing (P3003) steps are set up with TIMB = 0
  3. Item is set up with Accounting Cost Quantity >1
  4. Run R30825 to calculate the simulated cost
  5. Review Cost Components and note B1 is calculated as Run Labor divided by ACQ
