E1: 45: Wrong Foreign Prices (FUP and FEA) in the Sales Order Which Is Created By Copying an Old Sales Order that Has Price Adjustment Setup (Doc ID 2958999.1)

Last updated on JULY 03, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Advanced Pricing - Sales - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Copy a foreign Sales order (P4210) having Price Adjustment with formula rules already applied. When clear the Foreign Unit Price (FUP) and Foreign Extended Price (FEA) in the first line of the order, the system incorrectly updates these fields with the same values as in the original order line instead to recalculate using Price Adjustment as per the current date information.

Steps to replicate:

  1. Set two P4075 Price Variable Tables for foreign currency (e.g. EUR) with different values.
  2. Set P4076 Price Formula for each Price Variable Table.
  3. Set Price Adjustment definition P4071 and detail P4072 for each Price Formula and foreign currency. Basis code = 7 = Add on formula.
  4. Set Price Adjustment Schedule P4070 with both Adjustment names.
  5. Select a foreign old Sales order P4210 that has the Price Adjustment above already applied. The order has two lines.
  6. Copy the old order in a new one. The Foreign Unit Price and Cost are picked from the original order. Add a new line and the system calculated new Foreign Unit Price and Cost as per Price Adjustment rules.
  7. Clear the Foreign Unit Price and Foreign Extended Price for the first line and press tab down. The system updated the Foreign Unit Price and Foreign Extended Price with the same values as in the original order line. The Foreign Unit Price (FUP) and Foreign Extended Price (FEA) fields have to be recalculated using Price Adjustment as per the current date information (unit cost, exchange rate). This is explained in the KM document E1: 42: When Attempting to Copy a Sales Order (P4210) Having the Adjustment Pricing, Why Is the Unit Price (UPRC) Not Re-Calculated Based on the Changes Made to the New Order? (Doc ID 2874153.1).
  8. Copy again the old order and do the same steps (steps 6 and 7). This time, the system correctly recalculated the Foreign Unit Price and Foreign Extended Price for the first line.
  9. Clear again the Foreign Unit Price and Foreign Extended Price for the first line and press tab down. The system updated again incorrectly the Foreign Unit Price and Foreign Extended Price with the same values as in the original order line.

The Foreign Unit Price (FUP) and Foreign Extended Price (FEA) fields have to be recalculated using Price Adjustment setup.
