E1: BSSV: BSSV Is Not Removing The Padding Of Spaces Added For Data Dictionary Items From Payload (Doc ID 2959163.1)

Last updated on JULY 03, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

With the change from Castor to JAXB starting with Tools Release 9.2.6, the BSSV is not removing the padding of spaces added for dd items used for MCU(for example) from the BSSV payload.
Let's say a DD Item is of size 10 characters and has a value which is of less than 10 characters . When running a BSSV, the Payload gets created with additional spaces which gets padded in order to make it 10 characters long .

In the previous tools releases, the spaces were never padded and the values in payload was always trimmed.
eg string 1 which is 10 char and has value as "abcdefgh" is passed in payload as "abcdefgh  "

These 2 spaces creates the problem with the new TR.

1. Run BSSV on TR 9.2.6 and prior
2. Check payload in both cases
3. Notice that in 9.2.6, the padded spaces are not trimmed.

Upgrade to Tools Release 9.2.6 or later.
