Symptoms

User Defined Depreciation (R12855) incorrectly calculates the depreciation amount (overstated) when processing Option 8 Inception to Date Correction Processing = 1 for data originally created in release 9.1.

Steps to Duplicate:

Release 9.1:

  1. Depreciation Formula (P12853):
  1. Depreciation Rules (P12851):
  1. Depreciation Default Coding (P12002): Cost Object attached to Life Rule set up in step 2. 
  1. Asset Master (P1204): Create an asset. 
  1. User Defined Depreciation (R12855): The Asset has been depreciation correctly for prior years and current year up to April 2023, with several months of the Asset Life remaining.

 Upgrade to 9.2: 

  1. Run Depreciation for May 2023. Processing Option 8 Inception to Date Correction Processing = 1. The depreciation amount is calculated incorrectly.

Changes

 Upgrade from EnterpriseOne release 9.1 to 9.2.
