Symptoms
User Defined Depreciation (R12855) incorrectly calculates the depreciation amount (overstated) when processing Option 8 Inception to Date Correction Processing = 1 for data originally created in release 9.1.
Steps to Duplicate:
Release 9.1:
- Depreciation Formula (P12853):
- Depreciation: 103=(10/03)*49
- Basis: 501=01-07
- Depreciation Rules (P12851):
- Depreciation Method: 01
- Initial Term of Apportionment = First Day of First Month
- Computation Direction = I
- Life Months = 24
- Depreciation Default Coding (P12002): Cost Object attached to Life Rule set up in step 2.
- Asset Master (P1204): Create an asset.
- User Defined Depreciation (R12855): The Asset has been depreciation correctly for prior years and current year up to April 2023, with several months of the Asset Life remaining.
Upgrade to 9.2:
- Run Depreciation for May 2023. Processing Option 8 Inception to Date Correction Processing = 1. The depreciation amount is calculated incorrectly.
Changes
Upgrade from EnterpriseOne release 9.1 to 9.2.
