Symptoms

When cancelling a partial quantity during Ship Confirm (P4205), the error 078O (Add to Cache Failed) is seen in the logs from the B4003000 Business Function. This does not stop processing when using the interactive version P4205, but if this function is called on a custom BSSV for Ship Confirm, the payload response returns the error and stops the order from being confirmed. The error sent in the payload response is The record being added already exists in cache or there may not be enough memory or disk space avaliable to add the record. This also occurs if a partial quantity is confirmed and the remaining quantity is left shippable.

STEPS

1. Create a sales order for a quantity of 10 using the P4210 (Sales Order Entry)
2. Turn on the jdedebug.log for the call object kernel.
3. Go into the P4205 and find the order. Select the order.
4. Change the quantity shipped to 6 and the quantity cancelled to 4.
5. Review the logs. The following error is seen:

ERROR INFO JDEERR - ID= 0, Error= 078O - b4003000.c, Line= 426
