Symptoms

When attempting to create a managed instance for SQL Server on a Server Manager Management Agent, the process fails when the port field is empty.
Steps to reproduce.
  1. Within Server Manager, Select an agent and click 'Create New Managed Instance'
  2. Select Register an Existing Microsoft SQLServer Database
  3. Enter in machine details (Instance Name, Database Host/IP with Optional Instance name, SA Password)


    Note: Port here is labeled as optional
  4. Receive the error on screen error:
