Maine Paid Family Leave Insurance Program - MAINE (20-000-0000)
Recent legislation was enacted to create the Maine Paid Family Leave Insurance Program. Tax contributions for employers and employees will begin on January 1, 2025, and benefits are scheduled to begin on May 1, 2026. The maximum combined premium is 1.000% of taxable wages. The annual wage limit will be the same as the Social Security wage limit. Beginning on January 1, 2025, employer contribution reports and premiums will be remitted quarterly.
