E1: 31: Request Option To Perform Full Or Partial Issues In Blind Mode Up To Quantity On Hand (P31123/P31114/P31113) (Doc ID 2966026.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 09, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Shop Floor Control - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using work order P31114 completions with blind P31113 issue of material, the components that are short of requirements would drive inventory negative if issued in blind mode. When P31113 is set to error on negative on hand, no components are issued, independent of sufficient quantity on hand for some, but not all components. This is a change in functionality, coming from 9.1 or earlier to 9.2, introduced by E1 920 Bug 32450104 - WO COMPLETION USING BLIND ISSUE FOR LOT-CONTROLLED COMPONENTS WITH NO ON-HAND.

STEPS

  1. P3002 - Create BOM for component items all with the issue type code is 'B' for issue with P31114 completions.
  2. P41021 - Verify available qty for some but not all items and verify that some items have zero on-hand.
  3. Set Processing options for On Hand availability checking (option # 4 on the Edits tab for P31114 and on P31113 Edits Tab option 5. Negative Quantity on Hand).
  4. For interactive P31113 issues, the system will error, Negative Quantity on Hand (Error ID: 1557), when the on hand quantity is driven negative during issues or completions.
  5. For blind issues, no issues are performed.

Request an option such that the material issues will be performed, as before, for all work order components that are not short of requirements and does not drive inventory negative, only limit the issues of items that are short of requirements.
