Symptoms

The Management kernel is utilizing high amount of CPU and due to this users are seeing slowness in the system.The runtime metrics is not visible for the enterprise server from the server manager.

The following errors are found in the management kernel jde.log (The steps to access the jde.log of a specific kernel is present in E1: KER: How to Turn-on Or Capture Jde and Jdedebug Log For a Specific Kernel (Doc ID 2116966.1)

Steps

  1. Login into the enterprise server.
  2. Open task manager (or equivalent tool) to check the CPU utilization.
  3. Check the details of the process causing it.
  4. Use the PID to find the type of kernel from the Process Detail option in the Server Manager.
