E1: 42: No Wildcard Character Such as an Asterisk (*) is Allowed in the Grid to Search on Sales Order Numbers Entered for a Given Day P4210 (Doc ID 2970839.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 29, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using an asterisk as a wildcard in the Order Number (DOCO) field in the grid of the P4210 - Sales Orders, it is no longer retrieving all orders that begin with the numbers input?  This worked for us in 9.1.

Ex: Input 852* in Customer Service Inquiry (P4210) and in 9.1, all orders beginning with 852000 - 852999 would display.

Currently, in 9.2 for SO, POs, WOs if you type 852* the asterisk is dropped and only the order number preceded by the wildcard displays.
