Symptoms

When using EE Master Mass Change, P06045, to change SALN (salary at next raise) with an effective date and then running R06394 Future Data Employee Master Update, the NRDT (date next raise effective) field is not updated in P060131, Pay Rate Information, and the new rate is not calculated when entering an interim check, P07210I.

Steps:

  1. Determine which field (Data Item) in the Employee Master needs to be changed - SALN.
  2. From the Employee Adv. Technical Operations menu (G05BE3), choose Employee Master Mass Changes (P06045).
  3. Enter the Data Item, New Value, Effective On and Change Reason, then click OK.
  4. From the Employee Adv-Technical Operations menu (G05BE3), choose Employee Master Mass Changes report (R06045A) and create a copy of version XJDE0001. The R06045A processing options control the update of the F06042 (Future Data EE Master Revisions) and the printing of the report. Define data selection to include employees to be updated.
  5. Submit R06045A. The report will show which employees were changed along with the Data Item, Original Data, New Value, Effective Date and Change Reason.
  6. On menu G05BE3, choose Future Data EE Master Revision (P06042). Inquire by Employee Number, Data Item or Effective Date. If a desired Data Item is not available in the visual assist that calls P06041 then it is not available for Employee Master Mass Changes. Verify that the radio button for Unprocessed Records is marked and that all employees for the Employee Master Mass Changes appear.
  7. On menu G05BE3, choose Future Data Employee Master Update (R06394) and create a copy of version XJDE0001. Enter the date that to be reflected in the F06042 into to R06394 processing option. If the processing option is left blank, the system date will be used. Define data selection to include employees to be updated (typically the same employees selected by R06045A)
  8. Submit R06394 and review the report that indicates which employees were changed along with Data Item, Previous Value, New Value, Effective Date, Change Reason, and Pay Period End Date. R06394 updates the Data Item(s) for the specified employees in the Employee Master F060116 (and the F06042, if specified by the R06045A processing option).
  9. In the Employee Master - Pay Rate Information, P060131, verify that the NRDT (date next raise effective) field is blank.
  10. Process an interim check, P07210I, for the employee, using the future date and confirm the old rate is used.
