E1: SVM: Rest API UpdateIniconfig Updates SecurityServer In Both Jde.ini and Jas.ini Files (Doc ID 2972032.1)

Symptoms

When the user makes a REST API call to updateiniconfig endpoint for the security section with Tools Release 9.2.7.4 ( 9.2.7.3 or 9.2.7.2), both jas.ini and jde.ini are updated with the same value for SecurityServer
Only jas.ini of the instance should have been updated.

For example, when using updateiniconfig API with below payload:

 

Steps to reproduce:

  1.  Authenticate to server to obtain TOKEN by using the following endpoint http://<host>:<port>/manage/mgmtrestservice/authenticate
  2. Once the TOKEN is validated, do a POST method to update SecurityServer in the security section in jas.ini using the following endpoint https://<server>:<port>/manage/mgmtrestservice/updateiniconfig {"instanceName":"INSTANCE", "sectionName":"SECURITY", "iniConfig":{ "SECURITY":{ "SecurityServer": "SECSERVER01" } }}
  3. Notice both jas.ini and jde.ini SecurityServer is updated with SECSERVER01 value

 

Changes

 Upgraded to 9.2.7.2 or higher
