Symptoms

When using the P4210 version with Processing Options set to use a Schedule For Advanced Preferences 22 Order Preparation Days and 03 Delivery Date, together with the functionality for ATP (Available To Promise) activated, then the Pick Date, Original Promised and Promised Delivery dates are not calculated as expected. If removing the ATP functionality, then the Pick Date, Original Promised and Promised Delivery dates are calculated as expected.

Steps to reproduce:

A)

Set-up the Advanced Preference 22 Order Preparation Days as per the recommendations from the KM document E1: 42: Order Preparation Days Basic and Advanced Preference Profiles (P40316, P40070, P40073, P4071, P4072, R42997, P4210, P42101) (Doc ID 1666565.1). See bellow the steps:

  1. Go to Preference Hierarchy (P40073) and define the Preference Type A9.
  2. Go to Advanced Preferences Name Revisions (Menu G40311 > P4071 version ZJDE0002) and add Preference Name OPDCAT1 that is using the Preference Hierarchy A9, and Preference Type 22.
  3. Go to Adjustment Types (P4071 version ZJDE0001) to set an adjustment named OPD-CAT1 to be used with the Preference Hierarchy A9.
  4. Go to Price Adjustment Detail Revisions (P4072 version ZJDE0001) to add the Price Adjustment Detail Revisions for the adjustment.
  5. Go to Advanced Preferences Detail Revisions (Menu G40311 > P4072 version ZJDE0002) to add the Preference Name OPDCAT1 to be used with a specific customer number and set for it Order Prep Days = 1.

B)

Set-up the Advanced Preference 03 Delivery Date as per the recommendations from the KM document E1: 42: Delivery Date Basic and Advanced Preference Profiles (P40309, P40070, P40073, P4071, P4072, R42997, P4210, P42101) (Doc ID 1622250.1). See bellow the steps:

  1. Go to Preference Hierarchy (P40073) and define the Preference Type E9.
  2. Go to Advanced Preference Name Revisions (Menu G40311 > P4071 version ZJDE0002) and add Preference Name DDCAT1 that is using the Preference Hierarchy E9, and Preference Type 03.
  3. Go to Adjustment Types (P4071 version ZJDE0001) to set an adjustment to be used with the Preference Hierarchy E9.
  4. Go to Price Adjustment Detail Revisions (P4072 version ZJDE0001) to add the Price Adjustment Detail Revisions for the adjustment.
  5. Go to Advanced Preferences Detail Revisions (Menu G40311 > P4072 version ZJDE0002) to add the Preference Name DDCAT1 to be used with a specific customer number (the same customer number used previously for setting the) and set for it Transit Days = 5.

C)

  1. Go to P4101 Item Availability to check on the availability of the item to be used for testing.
  2. Go to Advanced Preference Schedule Revisions (Menu G40311 > P4070 version ZJDE0002) to do the setup for a new Preference Schedule 2203CATD to use both Preferences, the one for Order Preparation Days (Advanced Preference 22) and the one for Delivery Days (Advanced Preference 03).
  3. Go to Interactive Versions and create a P4210 Version 1 having under the Tab 10 Preferences the #1. Preference Profile Processing = 1 and #3. Override Schedule For Advanced Preferences = 2203CATD.
  4. Go to Interactive Versions and create a P4210 Version 2, to use both the ATP (Available To Promise) functionality and set for it under the Tab 7 Process the following: #20. Automatically Populate Scheduled Pick Date = 1 and #21. Maximum Number of Days of Supply and Demand = 90; and under Tab 24 Global Order Promising set #1. Global Order Promising = Blank. Also, for the same P4210 Version 2, under the Tab 10 Preferences, set the #1. Preference Profile Processing = 1 and #3. Override Schedule For Advanced Preferences = 2203CATD.

D)

  1. Launch P4210 version 1 (having Preferences activated) and create three sales orders, one having Requested Date as 20 of Sept, and another two having Requested Date as 30 of Sept; notice the values set by the application for the Scheduled Pick Date, Original Promised and Promised Delivery.
  2. Choose the first sales order created with Requested Date as 30 of Sept, and modify that value to 20 of Sept. Notice the values set by the application for the Scheduled Pick Date, Original Promised and Promised Delivery. Double-check for the results on the Customer Service Inquiry (P4210) and notice that the Scheduled Pick Date, Original Promised and Promised Delivery have the expected values.
  3. Launch P4210 version 2 (having both ATP and Preferences activated) and create three sales orders, one having Requested Date as 20 of Sept, and another two having Requested Date as 30 of Sept; notice the values set by the application for the Scheduled Pick Date, Original Promised and Promised Delivery are not as expected, and have different values than those displayed under the scenario when using P4210 version 1.
  4. Choose the first sales order created with the P4210 version 2 (having both ATP and Preferences activated) and with Requested Date as 30 of Sept, and modify that value to 20 of Sept. Notice the values set by the application for the Scheduled Pick Date, Original Promised and Promised Delivery again are wrongly calculated.
