Last updated on NOVEMBER 29, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Warehouse Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

R42995 - Repost Open Sales Orders is doubling the Quantity Hard Committed for LPN Items in WMS with Existing LPN Suggestions related to open Sales orders.

Steps to duplicate:

  1. Verify the Quantities that currently exist for the test WMS/LPN item in P41202 - Item Availability.
  2. P4210 - Create a new Sales Order that will go into WMS (Warehouse Management System) and create a Pick Request.
  3. Item Availability will be updated to show the new order Soft Committed against the primary location.
  4. A Pick Request (F4600) now exists for this order/item/quantity.
  5. Process the request using R46171 - Process Pick Requests to create a Pick Suggestion (F4611).
  6. Item Availability has been updated moving the quantity for this Sales Order from the soft commitment against the primary location to the hard commitment against the actual location from which the item / quantity will be picked.
  7. Run R42995 – Repost Active Sales Orders Data Selecting on this Item/Branch.
The R42995 version used should be set to 'Repost Active Sales Orders' as noted in E1: 42: Repost Active Sales Orders (R42995) (Doc ID 625504.1).

Repost Active Sales Orders: To re-establish Sales Order data by:
Updating item commitment quantities in the Item Location (F41021) file with information from the Sale Order Detail (F4211) file.
Updating commitment quantities in the Location Detail Information (F4602) file with information from the Sales order Detail (F4211) file. This update occurs if the Warehouse Management System is active.

Results:

After running the R42995, the Committed Quantity is now doubled and the Available Quantity is reduced by the same, doubled quantity.  In the case where the On Hand quantity is a smaller value, this can result in updating Available quantity to a negative value.  This doubling of the committed quantity only occurs for items that are License Plate Controlled, (F46L12 records exist).

The R42995 should not double the Hard Committed Quantity of a LPN item when open Suggestions exist at time of R42995 submission.
