(Doc ID 2975012.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 18, 2023
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The Logical Data Source field on the Embedded BI Publisher Server Load Configuration form is being auto-populated with the wrong value.
Here are the steps to reproduce the issue:
- Login to the web client.
- Enter P95645 in the fastpath to launch the Work With Embedded BI Publisher Server Load Configuration application.
- Click on the Add button to create a new server load configuration for the BI publisher processing.
- Click on the visual assist button for the Server Name field on the Embedded BI Publisher Server Load Configuration form.
- Select the name of the server (its hostname) for the data source name in the JD Edwards Data Sources pop-up window for the visual assist.
- The Logical Data Source field is auto-populated with the name of a database data source. For example, if the login environment is JDV920, then the Logical Data Source field is auto-populated with "Business Data - Test".
NOTE: This behavior is the result of a software defect. The Logical Data Source field should be auto-populated with "<hostname> - Logic" where <hostname> represents the hostname that was selected in step #5.
