Symptoms

Electronic Filing for North Carolina W-2 information (EFW2) file specifications have changed for 2023 year end reporting.

Steps:

  1. Run the W-2 process, P07810, for North Carolina employees.
  2. Run EFW2 - Federal file, F07865.
  3. Run EFW2 - State file for North Carolina, F078691NC.
  4. Review the file and the specifications are not in sync with 2023 specifications
