E1: 46: Automatic Replenishment not Working Running Process Pick Requests (R46171) with FIFO Enable and Item Setup with Commitment Method 2 (Lowest Lot Number) (Doc ID 2983631.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

When running the Process Pick Requests (R46171) to create a pick suggestion, automatic replenishment is not being called to replenish the pick location. This occurs when the item is setup for FIFO picking, but is using Commitment Method 2 (Lowest Lot Number). No errors are received on the report. The auto replenishment just fails to get called running the R46171. The random pick location is selected correctly and suggestions are only created for the pick suggestion.

  1. Setup a new item in a warehouse branch with commitment method 2 (lowest lot number). This would require setup in the P4101, P41026, P46010 and P46011.
  2. Create picking locations for the item in the P46020 with characteristics used for random picking.
  3. Create replenishment locations for the item with replenishment zones in the P46020.
  4. Create picking instructions using the P46095 for the random location above. Set the FIFO flag to Y. In the picking instruction the replenishment option needs to be turned on, the option RP (Alias: ARPL) indicates whether auto-replenishment is allowed or not.
  5. Create replenishment instructions using the P46095.
  6. Create fixed replenishment location (P46012) for the picking location that will be used.
  7. Add inventory in the picking and replenishment locations.
  8. Create a Sales Order (P4210) for the full quantity on the picking location that will create a pick request.
  9. Set the processing option behind the R46171 to automatically generate a replenishment using Economic Replenishment or Maximum Replenishment and define a version of the R46471 to be used for replenishment.
  10. Run the R46171.
  11. Review the .pdf report. Only suggestions were created for the pick. Nothing was created for the replenishment of the location.
