E1: 31B: Changing BOL Name from Default in P31B87 – BOL Receive Bulk Volume Screen for RECV Operation Causes Error ID 162WIM – ‘Duplicate Composition Records’ Multiple Times (Doc ID 2983817.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 29, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Blend Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When adding the Receipt Quantity and manually entering a BOL name in the BOL Vessel Number field of the P31B87 – BOL Receive Bulk Volume form and tab down to the next line, the system opens the P31B91 screen and loads over 2000 composition lines and then triggers error ID 162WIM – ‘Duplicate Composition Records’ multiple times.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. P31B75P - Create a configured Blend operation (e,g. RECV) similar to Based Operation Code REC – Receive Bulk Material
  2. P31B94 – Add a Blend operation and use the previous Configured Operation RECV
  3. P31B87 - In the From Vessel section enter the BOL Name in the BOL Vessel Number and fill in Receipt Quantity. Tab down.
  4. P31B91 – The system fills in the BOL Name in this form and before being able to define the Bill of Lading Details, the system defaults thousands of composition records and displays Duplicate Composition errors. Error ID 162WIM – ‘Duplicate Composition Records’ is displayed multiple times and the user is unable to save the BOL details and create the RECV operation.
