E1: WRKFLW: Email From Workflow Is Not Sent to the Distribution List Members

Symptoms
Email messages sent from Workflow through Send Message Extended to an Office365 SMTP server, are not sent to the members of the distribution list. If the same workflow is configured to send emails to individual email address, the email is successfully sent and user may act upon it.
The following error is recorded into the Workflow kernel log:
It is noticed that the recipient the message is attempted to be sent to has the following format: Group_Distribution_List_ <AddressBook_Number>_<DistributionList_Type>
The issue is specific when using Office365 SMTP server
Steps to replicate:
1.From an interactive application, trigger a message to be sent from Workflow to a distribution list
2.Check the Workflow kernel log and notice the SMTP error being reported
