Symptoms

Requirements Planning R3483 cancels existing OT from different branches, but does not create enough supply from the supply branch as per branch plant relationship to meet the demand.

Steps:

  1. Create a purchased item in 4 branches in Item Master (P4101) and Item Branch/Plant (P41026).
  2. Create forecast demand (P3460) in branch plant 1 as follows:
    1 EA 05 Sep
    2 EA 05 Oct
    3 EA 05 Nov
    4 EA 05 Dec
    5 EA 05 Jan
    6 EA 05 Feb
  3. Create a purchase order for branch plant 1 for 1 EA in P4310.
  4. Create transfers for quantities 2, 3, 4 EA from branch plants 2, 3, 4 in P4310.
  5. Create a branch plant relationship record from supply branch 4 to the demand branch 1 in P3403T.
  6. Run MRP R3483 over the item and the four branch plants (1, 2, 3 and 4).
  7. Notice that all OP and OT orders are cancelled and the demand of forecast is not met in P3411 - Work With Detail Messages.
