E1: SOLEXP: After Adding an Application Task to Favorites it Does Not Display in the Carousel (Doc ID 2995961.1)

Symptoms

The following Solution Explorer security is being implemented. Menu Design is set to Secured and Favorites is set to Change.



After user added an Application Task to Favorites, the task does not display in the Carousel. Although the added favorite task does show up in the Favorites Star navigation bar drop down, but it does not show up in the Favorites Carousel.  When user click on the favorite task from the navigation bar drop down, it does nothing.


Steps to duplicate:

  1. User logged in on the web client.
  2. Navigate to an application task from the navigation menu.
  3. Right Click on an application task and select "Add to Favorites".
  4. Click on the the "Create Favorite" button in the Add to Favorites window.
  5. The added favorite task is not shown in the Carousel.
  6. From the Favorites Star navigation bar drop down, although the favorite task can be seen, when clicking on it, it does nothing. The application is not launched.
