Symptoms

The Cost Summary (P122101) screen shows amounts in the Inception To Date (alias FAITD) column when there are no amounts for the account based on the date input in the Thru Date/Period (alias PNDGLOW) field.   For example, with a through date of 12-31-2022, the P122101 shows an accumulated depreciation inception to date amount when there is no depreciation prior to fiscal year 2023 for the asset, that is, the asset did not start to depreciate until Jan 2023.  The item help for the Inception to Date column states:  "Inception To Date (alias: FAITD):  The total amount booked to an account from the first day an asset is placed in service though the current period."  The system is currently using "the current period" as the date the user is on the system (e.g. Today's date) versus the date that is input in the Thru Date/Period (alias PNDGLOW) field, unless that PNDGLOW date is changed to a date that is in the current year.

Steps to Duplicate:
1.  Input a Cost amount for an asset in Fiscal Year 2022, with no depreciation in FY 2022.
2.  Close the Year (R12825) to Fiscal Year 2023, and the new cost record in FY 2023 shows the beginning balance (APYC) with the expected cost.
3.  Run R12855 depreciation for the asset each period of FY 2023 for $100 per period, for example.
4.  Check the Cost Summary (P122101) for this asset with different Thru Date/Period (alias PNDGLOW) values:
     4a. Thru Date/Period = 07-31-2023 shows $700 (for 7 periods at $100)
     4b. Thru Date/Period = 10-31-2023 shows $1000 (for 10 periods at $100)
4c. Thru Date/Period = 12-31-2022 shows $1200 (for 12 periods at $1200) but there is no depreciation through December of FY 2022, so the Inception to Date amount is expected to be $0.
