E1: 30A: Copy Cost Values - R308901 Clears Standard Frozen Costs

Symptoms
When use R308901 copy costs by work center to update F30026 costs by work center from one cost, such as cost method 22, to another cost, such as standard cost method 07, the existing frozen standard costs in the TO record gets cleared. WIP in process will report false variances when run R31802A and R31804, due to missing frozen costs.
Steps:
- P3009 Manufacturing Constants - Enter or locate a cost by work center branch Plant.
- P4101/P41026 Item and Item Branch - Enter fresh data for manufacturing parent item and purchased components, in the cost by work center branch.
- P4105 Cost Revisions - Assign P4105 component costs for purchased items.
- P3002/P3003 - Enter BOM for parent item and attach purchased components. And std Routing using work centers with appropriate prime load codes, such as direct labor and machine hours, plus setup.
- R30812 simulated costs - Run for cost method 07. R30835 Freeze costs - Run for Cost method 07.
- P4105 Cost Revisions - Update P4105 component costs for purchased items, to reflect cost change.
- R30812 simulated costs - Run for user defined cost, such as cost method 22. When business has reviewed user defined cost method, then need to copy cost to 07 simulated, for final review.
- R308901 Copy costs by work center - Copy simulated costs from user defined cost method TO cost method 07 standard cost for final review.
- P30026 Cost components - Review 07 simulated costs and verify that the user defined cost method costs are populated in the 07 simulated costs, as expected. However, also note that the 07 frozen costs by work center are cleared.
