E1: 49: Promised Delivery Date Incorrect Routing a Shipment that Contains Lead Days, Transit Days and Customer Freight Preference Using Route Selection 8 (Doc ID 3004310.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Transportation Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a shipment is created and routed with the Customer Freight preference set to route selection type of 8 (Best Performance, Least Cost) and the route contains 2 transit days and 2 lead days, the promised delivery date is getting changed on the order and shipment to a day after the requested date. This is dependent on the specific dates entered on the order and having the workday calendar setup with Thursday and Friday as non-working days for the branch.

STEPS

1. Setup the Workday Calendar (P00071) with non-working days on Thursday and Friday (Ex: 2/15 and 2/16)
2. Setup a Customer Freight Preference using the P40070 for the customer's address book number with a route selection of 8 (Best Performance, Least Cost).
3. Create a route for the customer that contains 2 lead days and 2 transit days. Input a 1 in the performance rating for the route.
4. Create a TMS Sales Order using the P4210 on a Tuesday (Ex: 2/13) and manually input a requested date of 2/20.
5. Review the shipment that was created. The route created above was automatically selected and the promised delivery date was moved to 2/21.
