Symptoms

While attempting to add a new Price Adjustment Detail (P4072) record for an existing Price Adjustment the system searched through more than 10,000 records with the Adjustment name before opening the Add Adjustment Screen. This is a new issue that first appeared February 8, 2023. If the user inquires on the same adjustment name it returns a record to the grid in less than 2 seconds.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Turn on web conference recording to capture timing information and watch the recording afterward to observe how long between each step below.
  2. User wants to add a new Price Adjustment Detail (P4072) record for the adjustment named “NAME1” and populates the adjustment name.
  3. At 28.07 seconds into the conference recording the client clicks on the Add (+) button in the “Work with Adjustment Details” screen.
  4. At 31.67 seconds into the recording, the "Modifications of price adjustment details - Looking for data rows" screen appears along with:
    1. A message “Look for me in record number 2010”.
    2. A button is displayed "Stop and check results".
  5. At 6 minutes, 41.60 seconds into the recording, the program has searched through 3,030 records.
    1. The user does not want to wait any longer and clicks on the "Stop and check results" button.
    1. This slow performance started on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
  6. As recently as Tuesday, February 6, 2024, when the add button was clicked, no searching appeared to take place the Add Adjustment Screen was returned in a few seconds.
