E1: 41: Summary/Detail Availability (P41202) Does Not Show Locations or Quantities Unless They Are In Location Master After Enhancement Bug 34056686 - Allow Inventory Locations To Be Put On Hold (Doc ID 3007524.1)

Last updated on MARCH 26, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

This issue only occurs in a Currency environment.

When Location Control (LCTL) is Not enabled in Branch Plant Constants (P41001) and a new location is added on the fly (using an inventory application such as Adjustments (P4114)), no Quantity on Hand (PQOH) or Available Quantities display in Summary/Detail Availability (P41202). However, the new location does display in the P41202.

Other reports have been received stating that when adding locations on the fly, the new location and no quantities display in Summary/Detail Availability (P41202).

This is occurring after applying ESU JN20691, containing Enhancement Bug 34056686 - Allow Inventory Locations To Be Put On Hold.

1. Confirm that Branch Plant Constants (P41001) for an existing B/P display that Location Control is off.

2. Also in Branch Plant Constants, select row > Location Definition (P41001). This way the new location added on the next step, can be added correctly using the Separator Character (SEPL).

3. Go to Adjustments (P4114) and adjust in the quantity of 10 for a new location. This location is created on the fly.

4. The new location now displays in the F41021 - Item Location table using databrowser.

5. Go to P41202 - Work With Item Availability and inquire on the item used in Adjustments. *In the customers system, they can see the new location added using the P41202 but, cannot display any quantities (10) Adjusted in via P4114.

**Other reports state that the new location added in Adjustments cannot be displayed.

6. Go to Work With Location Master (P4100) and inquire on the Branch. Add the new location manually.

7. Go back to the P41202 and inquire on the item and the new location, Quantity on Hand and Availability Quantities now display.

* = Behavior customers system.

** = Behavior in 9.2 and tools release, environment JPDCUR.
