Bug 26395299 – ‘NO BUDGET HOLD WARNING FOR PURCHASE ORDER FROM P13730’ introduced warning ID 107T – ‘Detail Line Amount Exceeds Budget’ for related purchase orders created with a budget hold.
However, this is triggered correctly only if the (related) orders go on budget hold, otherwise warning ID 107T is misleading.

The issue can be reproduced at will using the following steps:

  1. P14101 - Set up a budget by account in the current fiscal year: e.g. for a Total Budget Amount = 2400.
  2. IV – P4310 – Define a version of Purchase Order Entry to be used for adding requisition orders on budget hold: in the Budgeting tab, set option 1 to B1, option 4 to 2, option 5 = blank and option 7 = 1.
  3. P4310 - Enter a requisition order (OR type) using the processing options from above. Make sure the account from the P14101 is used, the line type = J and the extended cost does not exceed the budget: e.g. use Extended Cost = 10.
  4. P4310 - Click on the OK button; notice that the system does NOT create the warning 107T. Also, notice that the above requisition order does not have the Hold Code set to B1. This is correct.
  5. P31700 > P13714 - Create a work order. Click Save and Continue.
  6. IV – P13730 - Go to the P13730 processing options; make sure that the EM Edits tab is set to allow creation of purchase orders and that the EM Versions tab has the correct Purchase Order version for budget checking.
  7. P40950 - Go to DMAAI 1784; make sure that Cost Type RL points to the account set up in the P14101.
  8. P13730 - Go to the Parts tab and enter a line with line type J, cost type RL and Extended Cost = 10, which does not exceed the budget amount set up in the P14101. Click Save Changes.
  9. P13730 - After saving the line, select it and click on the Create Purchase Order button.
  10. P13730 - Notice that the system adds a check mark to the parts detail line, showing that a related order will be created. Upon clicking the Save Changes button, the system triggers warning ID 107T – ‘Detail Line Amount Exceeds Budget’ indicating that the requisition order goes on budget hold. However, since the Extended Cost is less than the Total Budget Amount, this warning should not be triggered.
  11. P4310 - Inquire on the requisition order number that was created. Notice that it is NOT on budget hold, which is correct.

Release 9.2 - The issue is reported in Bug 36063506 - P13730 / P17730 - BOGUS WARNING ID 107T TRIGGERED FOR RELATED OP / OR ORDERS.
