E1: 42W: Fulfillment Release (R4277703) Releases Sales Order Line When Quantity On-Hand Equals Zero (Doc ID 3012532.1)

Last updated on MARCH 27, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Fulfillment Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When Batch Fulfillment Entry (R4277704) is used to put a backordered line into Fulfillment, it creates a negative quantity committed in the Item Availability (P41202) against Zero  Quantity on Hand. This results in the calculation of a positive quantity available. Consequently when Auto Fulfillment (R4277701) is run followed by Fulfillment Release (R4277703) the positive quantity available is released from fulfillment event though there was Zero Quantity On-Hand.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. . Item Availability Inquiry (P41202) shows the following commitments on one item location:
    1. Quantity On-Hand = 0
    2. Quantity Committed = -6
    3. Quantity Available = +6 (zero – negative = positive)
    4. Quantity Future Committed = +6
  2. Auto Fulfillment (R4277701) is run followed by Fulfillment Release (R4277703)
    1. Order Lines are Released from Fulfillment even though there is Zero Quantity On-Hand.
