Last updated on MAY 14, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A custom application has been designed with a simple fix inspect form. "Set Control Focus" system function has been used under "Post Dialog is Initialized" event to set the focus on a specific form field. This works as expected when running the application on the normal web client and the focus is set on the intended field. It does not set the focus on the intended field when running the application in browser mobile mode.

Steps to replicate:

  1. Create a simple custom application with a fix inspect form
  2. Use "Set Control Focus" system function under the "Post Dialog is Initialized" event to set the focus on a specific form field
  3. Run the application in normal web client and make sure that the focus is set as expected when loading the form
  4. Open developer tools in the browser
  5. Click on toggle device tool bar in the browser and set the dimension as 1024*768
  6. Run the application in this mobile mode and check the initial focus
