Last updated on DECEMBER 10, 2024

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

An employer that is self-insured and should not have state or federal Unemployment Insurance calculated.

A negative deduction is done to pay back an employee for a 125 pre-tax deduction done in error.
P07210I/P070701 Interim is used to create a One-Time-Override for the deduction which is picked up for regular payroll. However, the negative amount for pre-tax deduction causes tax to be calculated for Federal and State Tax Type C (Unemployment Insurance).

How can a setup be created to prevent this from happening?
