Symptoms

After updating Microsoft Edge browser to version 125.0.2535.51 (Official build) (64-bit), slow performance is experienced when attaching a File attachment.

When using Media Object Viewer to add a File Attachment (e.g. P01012 > Row > Attachments > File), the "Select Local File" section takes a long time to appear. It shows after five to ten minutes on Media Object Viewer Add - File screen.

 


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. On the web client, fast path to P01012.
  2. Find a record.
  3. Go to Row > Attachments.
  4. Click on File attachment option.
  5. Wait for the "Select Local File" option to appear.

 
There is no performance issue on Chrome browser version 125.0.2535.51 (Official build) (64-bit).

Few customers have observed similar issue again on 127.0.2651.74 version of MS edge.
