Symptoms

For a mixed mode item, with work orders in WIP, a cost change simulate and freeze with R30837 WIP Reval, clears P31022/F3102 Production Cost Inquiry costs in the work order.  When the standard cost parent has an actual (Cost Method 02) component, the R31802A is run in mixed mode to populate the F3102 production costs.  WIP Reval Clears these populated costs.

Steps:  

  1. P4101/P41026 - Enter 02 wt avg P stock Type purchased item and assign a cost level 3, 02 weighted cost.  Enter an F4105 07 standard cost parent item.  
  2. P30026 - For the Parent Item, add an X cost to be changed at a later step.  
  3. R30812 - Simulate Parent Item 07 Costs.  R30835 Freeze 07 parent costs.  
  4. P48013 - Enter Production work orders for the parent item
  5. R31410 - Attach Parts List and routing.  
  6. P31114 - Report partial completions with backflush, keeping the work order in WIP.  
  7. R31802A - Run manufacturing accounting in mixed mode and review P31022 production costs and verify that all F3102 columns are populated as expected.  
  8. P30026 - Make change to parent item X cost.
  9. R30812 - Simulate Parent Item 07 Costs.  R30835 Freeze 07 parent costs, chaining to R30837 WIP Revaluation.   
  10. P31022 - review production costs and note cleared amount fields.
