Symptoms

After configuring the Enterprise Server to use a SSL/TLS SMTP server to send out the emails generated by JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, the email sending is failing.

In the kernel log (Call Object Kernel, Workflow Kernel or RUNUBE) the following error is recorded:

Steps to replicate:
1. Configure the SMTP used by JD Edards EnterpriseOne Enterprise Server to connect through SSL/TLS
2. Login on JAS Server and open any application
3. From Tools menu select Collaborate and then Send Shortcut
4. Fill in the required values to send an email out with the shortcut to the application
5. Click on OK and then check the Call Object Kernel and notice that the errors mentioned above are recorded into the log.
