R3483 MRP suggests an extra order message in P3411 MRP messages program for item setup with fixed order quantity order policy code, purchase effective day defined and when there is an existing supply order (Purchase order) in the system.

Steps:

1. P4101/P41026 - Setup an item with order policy code = 2 (Fixed order quantity) and value = 400. Set purchase effective days = 12
2. P3460 - Create a forecast demand for 400 units with requested date on 9/18/2024.
3. P4310 - Create a purchase order for 400 units with requested date on 9/6/2024 which calculates effective date as 9/18/2024.
4. R3483 - Setup and run MRP.
5. P3411 - Review MRP and observe a new order message for 400 units was suggested by MRP when there is an existing purchase order supply available to satisfy the demand.
