Symptoms
Customers often receive correspondence from the Canadian Reporting Agency that a prior year T4, Releve 1, and Releve 2 are incorrect and need only a few Employees amended. Often the prior is already Archived, so they need to un-archive, amend the form, and attempt to print, but if something misaligns with printing it causes numerous issues.
If a program could be added where once the reporting year is archived, you can inquire about individual Employee year-end form history, create a "correction" record that includes the current date for the change, the reason for the change "per CRA requirements", print a Facsimile or PDF with the prior and current changes. This would keep an audit of the original and a "correction/amended" file that is easy to reprint with the correct information. This would allow if an amendment was started but no longer required, they can simply delete it and the original stays as it was.
