E1: CAF1: Media Object Attachment Viewer Does Not Work for Date Field Mapping for Data Structures Like GT0911, GT20120 (Doc ID 3040480.1)

In Tools Release 9.2.8.2 where the Media Object Attachment Viewer content is introduced in CafeOne, when the Media Object data structure like GT0911, GT20120, etc. which contains Date value in the data structure key.  CafeOne layout mapping of Date field does not work.

In this example, the G/L Date grid column value is shown in date format MM/DD/YYYY (e.g. 01/01/2021), but the Media Object attachment key date is in date format YYYYMMDD (e.g. 20210101).

Steps to duplicate:

1. Run application P0911.
   
   
   
   
   
2. For the first grid record, the attachment has the following properties. Note that the Key contains date value with date format of YYYYMMDD (e.g. 20210101)
   
   
   
   
3. Create a CafeOne layout. Add the Attachment Viewer content and fill out the parameters mapping.
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Test the CafeOne layout. The Media Object Viewer content is not displaying the attachment content.
   
   
   
   
5. Click on the About button in Media Object Viewer shows that system is trying map with date format MM/DD/YYYY.
   
   
6. Change the parameter mapping for Date - For G/L (and Voucher) - Julian to a static value of 20210101.
   
   
   
   
7. The Media Object Viewer now shows the attachment content correctly.
