Symptoms

Material cost calculated for an item in P30206 Costed BOM Inquiry is different from P30026 Cost component calculation when the item's BOM contains a phantom item and a scrap % is defined.

Steps:

1) P4101/P41026 - Created parent (GP-MAPC1), component (GP-MAPC1.2), Phantom (GP-MAPC-PH1) and sub-assembly items ((GP-MAPC1.1, GP-MAPC1.1A, GP-MAPC1.1.1 and GP-MAPC1.3).
2) P3002 - Parent BOM (GP-MAPC1) has GP-MAPC-PH1 and GP-MAPC1.2 as component items.
3) P3002 - Sub-assembly (GP-MAPC-PH1) item has GP-MAPC1.1and GP-MAPC1.3 BOM item GP-MAPC1.1 has 10% Scrap.
4) P3002 - Sub-assembly (GP-MAPC1.1) item has GP-MAPC1.1A and GP-MAPC1.1.1. BOM item GP-MAPC1.1A has 10% Scrap.
5) P3002 - Sub-assembly (GP-MAPC1.1A) has GP-MAPC1.3. BOM Item GP-MAPC1.3 has 10% scrap.
6) P4105 - Associate unit cost to all component items.
7) R30812/R30835 - Run cost simulation roll-up and freeze cost.
8) P30026 & P30206 - Review cost components and costed BOM inquiry and observe there is mismatch in cost between P30206 and P30026.
