E1: 43: Automatically Add a Change Order Number When an Existing Change Order Line is Changed (P4310) Enhancement
(Doc ID 3042738.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 26, 2024
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Procurement and Subcontract Management - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When an existing Change Order (SFXO = 001 - 999) detail line is changed or updated in Enter Purchase Orders (P4310), we need to track when the change order line is changed. Currently, when changing a change order line, no new Change Order Number is generated for Subcontract (OS) Purchase Orders.
Change Orders are used for subcontract purchase orders. It has been discovered that that when the purchase order is displayed using View All Change orders, that a change order line can be accessed and changed. Such as, the Extended Cost field (AEXP). Since a Change Order line was accessed, when the Extended Cost field is changed, a new Change Order Number line should be written automatically.
We can only see the changed detailed lines for a change order when running a databrowser over the P.O. Detail Ledger File (F43199) and comparing each changed line on the purchase order to the Purchase Order Detail File (F4311).
In order to better understand this request, steps are being provided:
1. Create an OS purchase order P4310 version ZJDE0015.
2. Using Change Orders, add four change order lines so that the Change Order Lines number as 001, 002 thru 004.
3. Save the purchase order.
4. From P4310, click on Row > Change Orders > View All.
5. Access Change Order line 3.000 and change the Extended Cost.
6. Save the purchase order.
7. No new Change Order line is generated indicating that the change order has been changed. Expect Change Order line 005 to be generated as this is the next available change order number.
